Moonlit Movies began as a simple idea: take the cinema out of the dark room and into the open air, where a screen becomes the sky. What started as a modest outdoor event has grown into a well-loved Hong Kong gathering, pairing award-winning films with the atmosphere of a beach evening. The concept has always been more than just a movie. It is about the whole night out, the stretch of time between golden hour and the final credits, and the people you share it with.

The heart of the experience is the sundowner hour. As the sun drops over the water, guests arrive with a drink in hand, and the pace of the evening slows into something unhurried. Cocktails are served against a shoreline backdrop, summer sounds drift from the sound system, and the crowd settles in on the sand.
