COVID-19 Policy

Moonlight Movies guests health & wellbeing is our main priority

TCOB and Moonlit Movies takes guests health very seriously and we will be adhering to the Government's policies on helping to stop the spread by following the latest guidelines.

Pre-Registration & Leave Home Safe App

Guests are required to scan the LeaveHomeSafe QR Code and present their Vaccine Pass when entering.

Temperature Check & Face Masks

Temperature checks will be in place at the entrance for guests. Mask wearing is mandatory when not seated in your section. Guests must wear a mask when moving through the venue.

Socially Distant Space

Moonlit Movies has created special 'Plots' for up to 4 people to sit together. Each 'Plot' is 1.5 meters apart from the other. Guests are asked to only leave their 'Plot' to get food & drinks, use the bathroom or to exit the venue and must wear a face mask when doing so.

Hand Sanitiser

Hand Sanitiser stations are positioned at each entry and exit point.

Extensive Cleaning

Each private pod is thoroughly cleaned in between sessions. Cleaning teams will also operate throughout the session to ensure hygiene protocols are strictly adhered to.

The latest government regulations (Update: 19 September 2022)

According to the Prevention and Control of Disease (Requirements and Directions) (Business and Premises) Regulation (Cap. 599F), here are the latest arrangements:

  • Upon entering the cinema, all patrons must wear a face mask (except when consuming food or drinks inside auditorium) and submit to a temperature check

  • Alternate seating will be implemented, and must be observed, at all screenings.

  • “LeaveHomeSafe” mandatory at cinema

  • Present the valid printedCOVID-19 vaccination record or Medical Exemption Certificate with QR code, or the relevant QR code stored in the 'LeaveHomeSafe', “iAM Smart” or “eHealth” mobile application on their mobile device for scanning using the latest version of the “QR Code Verification Scanner” mobile application developed by the Government, upon entering the cinema.

 

“Vaccine Pass” requirements

September 8 –29, 2022

  • persons aged 12 or above are required to receive three doses of COVID-19 vaccine to continue to use the Vaccine Pass. For those whose second dose was received within six months, their Vaccine Pass is still valid, but they must receive the third dose within six months after receiving the second dose.
     

September 30 – November 29, 2022

  • persons aged 12 or above are required to receive three doses of COVID-19 vaccine to continue to use the Vaccine Pass. For those whose second dose was received within 5 months, their Vaccine Pass is still valid, but they must receive the third dose within 5 months after receiving the second dose

  • children aged 5 to 11 are required to have received at least the first dose within three months to comply with the vaccination requirements under the Vaccine Pass for entering cinema. If they received their first dose three months ago or earlier, they are required to receive the second dose
     

Starting from November 30, 2022

  • persons aged 12 or above are required to have received the third dose so as to meet the vaccination requirements under the Vaccine Pass

  • children aged 5 to 11 are required to have received the second dose

All patrons are required to present their printed COVID-19 vaccination record or Medical Exemption Certificate with QR code, or the relevant QR code stored in the 'LeaveHomeSafe', “iAM Smart” or “eHealth” mobile application on their mobile device for scanning using the latest version of the “QR Code Verification Scanner” mobile application developed by the Government, upon entering the cinema.

For patrons exempted from the “Vaccine Pass” requirements, please indicate their exemption and produce the relevant proof as required. If patrons are unable to presen their COVID-19 vaccination record, Medical Exemption Certificates or other exemption proof, our cast members may refuse their entry to the specified premises.

“LeaveHomeSafe” mandatory at cinema

Patrons must scan the 'LeaveHomeSafe' venue QR code using the LHS mobile application(www.leavehomesafe.gov.hk) before entering the cinema.

The following three categories of persons may fill in a specified form as an alternative to the use of the LHS mobile application:

  • persons aged 65 or above and aged 15 or below;

  • persons with disability; and

  • other persons recognised by the Government or organisation(s) authorised by the Government.

For persons aged15 or below, he or she would not have to register his or her personal information using the specified form if he or she is accompanied by an adult who has complied with the LHS requirement (i.e. he or she has used the LHS mobile application or used the specified form to register relevant information as an alternative in accordance with the requirement).

Our cinema reserves the right to refuse entry or remove patrons from the premises, or stop the screening, in the following circumstances:

i. Patron registers body temperature higher than 37.5°C, or 
ii. Patron is not wearing a face mask, or removes mask during screening, or 
iii. Patron fails to make admission record, or 
iv. Patron is not sitting in their assigned seat, corresponding to their ticket, or 
v. Patron is wearing a government-issued home quarantine wristband, or 
vi. Patron fails to meet Vaccine Pass requirements
